“Where the heck were you when the page was blank?”
- Paul Butterworth

When I think about writing and creativity, I always go back to this colorful quote from a legendary copywriter. Because that’s what creatives do. We start with nothing, get input from clients and account executives, and shape messages and offers that make people do things – or just enjoy the moment. And sometimes, we, like Paul, whine about a challenge that offers great rewards.

We feel what our audiences feel, draw on our own experience as consumers and leverage our innate curiosity to know more. Whether it’s direct mail, email and Internet marketing, radio, video, print or social media marketing, it starts with a strategy, progresses to an idea and goes from there.

I invite you to review some of my favorite and most successful work from a range of industries, including technology, healthcare, database marketing, financial services, education, marine, and travel & hospitality. See what I’ve done with a blank page.
